At South Aiken Presbyterian Kindergarten, we teach the whole child by providing activities that develop the mind, body and spirit. Each day we want each child to experience success. We know that when children feel good about themselves they feel good about others, learn easier, and develop to their full potential. SAPK admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to the students at the school. We strive to give our students a positive Christian environment.
We accept children ages 6 months through Kindergarten with varying schedules depending on the age groups.

Through this curriculum letters are taught in a developmentally appropriate order rather than alphabetical to help children master skills. Capital letters are taught first in small groups of similar formation. Children master the easier letter groups, and then move to the more difficult letters groups. A multisensory approach helps children develop their writing skills through explicit, multisensory, play based instruction. Children move, touch, feel, and manipulate real objects as they learn the habits and skills essential for writing. Teachers use Music, Letter Stories, Tracing, Air Writing, and Mystery Letter Games to teach letter formation and placement on lines. Curriculum tools will be introduced in our 3K classes and fully implemented in the 4K and Kindergarten classes.
