Providing Kid Wardrobes to Local Families

Originally developed and sponsored by South Aiken Presbyterian Church’s women’s bible study, the KINDer Closet grew out of a knowledge that a variety of families - single parents, foster families, and those experiencing financial strain or unexpected hardship - could benefit from community support.

KINDer Closet provides handpicked wardrobe sets for children from newborn through age six. Each wardrobe package includes multiple interchangeable outfits, thoughtfully selected to meet everyday needs. A limited number of specialty items - shoes, outerwear, holiday wear - are also available as supplies allow. All items are donated by generous members of our community and include both new and lightly used clothing that have been carefully checked for quality and usefulness.

There are two ways to request support from our program:

However you reach out, one of our volunteers will be sure to connect with you as soon as possible to help support you and your family.

1) Donate

Donations of new or gently used children’s clothing (sizes newborn through 6) are gratefully accepted to ensure that outgrown clothing continues to bless another child. Items may be placed in the donation bin located in the Narthex, outside of the SAPK Director’s office, or outside of the Secretary’s office in the Family Life Center.

2) Serve

KINDer Closet relies on volunteers to sort donations, assemble wardrobe packages, and connect with families who reach out for support. If you have time to share, please contact us and let us know your availability. Your hands and heart make this ministry possible.

3) Give

Finally, we accept monetary donations to help meet unique needs of families as they may arise, and replenish sizes as needed. Donations can be made out to SAPC, with “KINDer Closet” in the “FOR” line, or on our website.
