What is “Kids First Policy”?
The purpose of the “Kids First!” policy is to create an environment and a document that demonstrates our commitment to the physical, emotional safety, and spiritual growth of all our children, youth, and adults.
In order to help ensure the continued safety and health of the church for the ministries of youth and children, “Kids First!” implements some simple guidelines and procedures that effectively reduce the risk of all forms of abuse or neglect including the risk of sexual misconduct in the church. The policies and procedures of “Kids First!” address the following areas of ministry: (1) Worker and Volunteer Selection; (2) Worker and Volunteer Supervision; (3) Reporting Procedures and Response to Allegations; and (4) Congregational Awareness and Education.
