Volunteers Needed for Flower Guild…

We have a great group of volunteers currently serving on the Flower Guild, but we need more members. The Guild members take turns delivering the Sanctuary flowers to shut-in’s or others needing encouragement. It is very rewarding to see how the beauty of the flowers brightens their day.

Beginning in January 2011 we also need a new Chairperson of the Flower Guild. The duties of the Chairperson are:

  • Call the sponsoring parties to obtain dedication information for the bulletin
  • Notify the volunteers of which Sunday’s in their assigned month they need to deliver flowers
  • Contact the florist to confirm the number of bouquets needed each month
  • Coordinate the ordering of Christmas poinsettias and Easter lilies
  • And, coordinates with the Worship Committee for planning placement of the poinsettias and lilies in the Sanctuary, ordering of palm leaves for Palm Sunday, and carnations for Mother’s Day.

If you are interested in joining the Flower Guild or serving as the Chairperson, please contact Judy Gast at 642-6019 or a member of the Worship Committee.
