Sing along: “Wade in the Water” SAPC and Friendship Baptist Church choirs and congregations in a joint worship service on April 21, 2013
Anthem: “Hosanna! Praise the Lord” sung by the SAPC Children and Adult choirs on March 24, 2013 accompanied by Todd Hamilton (Trumpet) and King’s Strings
We are blessed to have two choirs at SAPC.
SAPC’s Director of Music is Phillip Hare, directing both adult choirs and selects the choir music for worship services. Phillip invites anyone who loves to praise the Lord with song to join our choirs. No one needs to know how to read music or know choral techniques because Phillip provides all the instruction you need in a delightful way. All you have to do is show up with a passion for singing and you will be welcomed as a part of the choir family.

Early Choir
This is a group of early risers singing praises to our Father during the early Sunday service. This choir generally sings the melody versus four parts for the songs selected for the services. They practice one half hour before the 8:45 service. They are a robust group, casual and have a lot of fun.

Late Choir
The ‘late’ choir is considered the main choir of SAPC. They sing in four parts, joined by early choir members for special and seasonal events. Practice is held on Wednesday nights at 7pm. This is also a robust group, having a ton of fun during practices. However, this choir is more traditional by the wearing of choir robes (except during the hotter summer months).

Hand Bells
Occasionally, the bell choir (youth who like ‘ringing’ for Jesus, adults join in too) will play for services. Their music is always an inspiration during a service. The choir lead by Barb Johnson meets at various times of the year. The most important thing in playing the bells is how to count, otherwise you just need to ring your heart out to the Lord!
If interested in the bell choir, please contact Barb Johnson through the church office.
Organized sporadically during the church year, a choir of the children offer the young an opportunity to be part of our musical worship. If anyone wishes to organize and/or assist, please contact Philip Hare through the church office.
